CUMBERNAULD Theatre is gearing up for an excellent week ahead as the theatre prepares to host the EPIC Festival.

The festival will run from 1st November until 3rd November and aims to promote the latest pieces of home grown theatrical talent.

A spokesperson for Cumbernauld Theatre told Cumbernauld Media: “This week brings our first EPIC Festival of New Theatre which will run from 1st – 3rd November 2012.”

“This is the first run of what we hope will be an annual festival at the theatre celebrating the best new work being produced in Scotland.”

The events run from 7.45pm on Thursday, 7.45pm on Friday and 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.45pm on Saturday evening.

The spokesperson added: “It is an opportunity for the theatre to welcome the country’s most talented artists and give them space to perform their work. All the work in this festival explores the idea that a show which may be small in scale and style can still have an EPIC vision, address big ideas and tell big stories.” Tickets for the festival are £5 per day or you can buy a full festival pass, and come to as many events as you want, for £10.
