THE ORGANISERS behind Oxjam Cumbernauld 2012 – The Cumbernauld Events Forum – have appealed to the local community to come along to the group’s Coffee Morning, later this month.

The Coffee Morning is being organised by the Events Forum in an attempt to raise revenue for the upcoming Oxjam music festival; the first such festival in Cumbernauld’s history.

Already, the event’s main organiser, David Cooke, has confirmed that numerous local venues have been booked, whilst the list of acts continually grows.

As the event is spread across Cumbernauld throughout October, the Oxjam Cumbernauld 2012 organisers have said that the hardest part of the organisation process is funding.

In an attempt to pay for the event’s venues and running costs, the Cumbernauld Events Forum have organised a Coffee Morning, to be held on Monday 27th August, in the Link Centre, with homebaking, entertainment and a number of stalls on hand to entertain attendants.

The event itself will be held between 9am and 11am.
