Cumbernauld Amateur Athletes Club come top of league after club's final match

CUMBERNAULD Amateur Athletes Club (AAC) have congratulated their members following the club’s recent success at the JSB league.

At the club’s final match in the JSB Plumbing League, held in Grangemouth, on Saturday 4th August, their team managed to pull the club into second place.

The club’s success at the recent competition means that they will be placed in division one for the next season.

Online, a club spokesperson congratulated the team: “Well done to all athletes who competed for the club in today’s [Saturday 4th August 2012] final league match at a sun drenched Grangemouth.

“A great team effort resulted in the club securing 2nd place and promotion to Division 1 for next season.

“In addition to this , tremendous efforts throughout the season, from all athletes, led to the club winning the Shield for best team in the Division for field events”, added the spokesperson.
