Cumbernauld’s AG Barr’s factory will be publically open on Saturday 8th September, with twenty-one tours scheduled between 10am and 4pm. The one hour tour will take in the Barr History Exhibition, Factory Gantry and the High Bay Warehouse, and booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

The twenty-one tours will be made up of groups of twelve and under 10s are not permitted, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The booking line will be launched later this month.

The second event which will take place will be the Cumbernauld Fire Station open day. The Fire Station will be open between 10.30am and 5pm on Saturday 8th September, with demonstrations, games and emergency vehicles on hand to entertain the audiences.

Cumbernauld’s next Open Days event will take place on Saturday 8th September, with a guided tour of the Chancel Garden being offered to participants between 11am and 3pm.

Then, Sunday 9th September will see Kildrum’s Sacred Heart Church open up to the public between 10.30am and 5pm. Throughout the day there will be three Sunday Services, at 9am, 10.30am and 5.30pm, which all are welcome to attend.

Announcing the publishing of the North Lanarkshire based events on the ‘Doors Open Day’ Facebook page a group spokesperson said: “North Lanarkshire's programme is now online! There are many highlights including one very popular site producing a certain orange fizzy drink.”
