The organisers behind this year’s Oxjam Cumbernauld event have issued an appeal for event volunteers, to help raise awareness of the event and assist at the fundraiser’s events.

Since confirming the arrangements of the autumn fundraiser, the event’s organiser, David Cooke, has issued an appeal for volunteers through the group’s Facebook page.

Posting, David said that he is “still looking for volunteers for in the run up to events”, with available roles, which include activities “…online and telling people about the page, selling tickets , handing out leaflets , putting up posters working on the door for events.”

Oxjam is a fundraiser event held in aid of Oxfam, which operates internationally, but mainly in developing nations.

Oxjam is a musical fundraiser, which attempts to raise money for Oxfam by arranging local music festivals and this year will be Cumbernauld’s first ever Oxjam event.

David added: “…there’s a role for everyone”, and people interested should e-mail him at oxjamcumbernauld@gmail.com.
